I had no plans on Wednesday night. I thought I may end up home with the cat, which would be fine because he’s a real cool cat but I got a call from Cin in the afternoon and he was kid free and wanting to hang out so we made a plan to meet for Happy Hour at 4pm downtown.
We decided to start at the Six Seven lounge in the Edgewater hotel. I think this is a great spot on a sunny day. The hotel is built on pier 67 and extends over the water which is super cool. A little history, The Edgewater achieved some fame when The Beatles stayed there during the mid-60’s, other famous guests have included the Rolling Stones, President Clinton, Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin. Bill Clinton? Yes please! Pass the cigar please I would love to play with Bill.
So we hung at the bar for two drinks during happy hour and decided to move on to the next spot. I wanted to check out See Sound Lounge because they are currently hiring a marketing, design and events person. I’ve cocktailed in a club before but about five years ago. I’m not exactly sure about a club now. I went to Venom about six months ago and felt like there was a good chance I was older than the management. Hmmm, not so fabulous feeling. Well call me pretty (that’s code for dumb) but I couldn’t find the place…between 1st and 2nd on Blachard? I’ll have to give this one another try.
We went over to another spot that I frequent….yep, the one with the masturbating bartender and yes, he did it again! When I first showed up and saw him I was unsure how to act. Would he even remember me? The guy is a bartender..that’s code for man whore. Should I give him a hug? Act cool? I went with it and after a few moments it all came back to me – the attraction. He’s a bad boy but a cutie at the same time. I had saved his number in my cell so I sent him a few text messages while we were hanging out. We had a couple drinks and ended up meeting two new friends. They had no one where to sit so I moved closer to Cin so they had a spot. They were actually a great match (no, they weren’t a couple). One guy works in the music business (behind the scenes) so him and Cin had great conversation. The other guy was a huge NFL fan. Love it! NFL is from Guam and we got chatting about the history, people, and culture. He asked if Cin and I would be willing to go to Ohana for a drink. Since we had discussed it earlier and I have never been we were happy to head over. Before we left I had to get that show. We arranged (via text) to meet in the back. This time he took me to the liquor room instead of the boss’ office. OMG he has a huge cock. Thanks for the show. I went back to the boys. They had no idea what just happened. Priceless. As we paid the bill to leave (yes, I tipped the guy and I considered, do I tip MORE for the show?) I handed him my card with the website S-I-S…’you’re famous now’. He seemed to enjoy the thought. What a freak! Yea, I’ll definitely save that number!
We moved to the next bar. NFL knew a lot of people at Ohana. It was very fun! The bartender (hate that I forgot his name) gave us shots of tequila that could be mistaken for a big gulp. Huge!! I cannot possibly drink tequila and have discussed that here. Doesn’t matter what brand it is. Pass! We ended up making friends with a girl and two guys at the bar and they agreed to follow us down to Belltown Pizza - my favorite end of the night spot!
We had a few slices of pizza and cocktails and I was ready to call it a night. Oh NEW YORK (God, I hate to call you that based on the ridiculous girl on VH1 but you know who are girl) we did have a cocktail with a certain braided man (that’s what the Mr used to call him “Braided Man”) from Ireland. Apparently he lives in Queen Anne now. Interesting huh?
So Cin (who was in no condition to drive) just stayed at my house. I got out the Patron for him and a bottle of wine for me and we looked at pictures on my computer, drunk dialed my little sister, and ended up watching the directors commentary of Sex and the City. I had a great time and Cin was a total sweetie. We feel asleep in my bed with the movie going. No, we didn’t hook up he’s crossed into the friends zone.
