All about the single life in Seattle

I am taking a day to relax and recover from this week.  Whew, when it rains it pours.  Ever feel that way in your life?  You have no friends that want to hang out or EVERYONE does.  You have no guys calling or all of a sudden your phone is blowing up.  Why is that??  Is it ‘ebb and flow’ is it some sexy confidence that you are subconsciously putting out there and people are responding to it once the phone starts ringing…or on the other side they are responding to the shoulder slump when it STOPS?  I’d like to figure it out at some point because it is raining right now and I don’t want the fun to stop (well literally raining…f*cking Seattle, this weekend is supposed to be the start of boating season, not so much)!

Yesterday I had a lunch appointment with the team at my Dr Med Spa’s office (remember I got a job handing maketing?  See previous post and then bookmark me for updates…I’m still too dumb to figure how to offer an email subscription).  Love this group!!  There was an absolutely ADORABLE rep from Clarisonic there telling us about their product; the Dr is going to begin to use.  I’m a sucker for beauty products and the first thing that got me is it is from the creator of the Sonicare toothbrush…me like already!  I didn’t hurt that this little sales girl was just beautiful.  She really had the pretty with just a touch of sexy and a whole lot of classy down.  Wow!!  I wanted one in the first 5 minutes!!  Do you ever recognize you are doing that?  Yes, I really do think this product will be great (review to come once I receive) but when I’m really honest with myself, I was sold by the girl.  I liked her.  I wanted to hang out with her.  Hell, for just a night a wanted to be her (OMG she had a fat rock on her finger!!).  Ok, enough of my wannabe lesbian rambling. 

We finished the presentation and then had a meeting about marketing (oh right, I’m there to work).  One of our decisions was to start to use twitter to give updates, specials, and get more business.  We’ll see how that goes!  I’m excited!  I really do like this group!  There was one really pretty girl in the office that I had not met before and she was just a smidge cold to me.  You know this one..pretty girls get threatened by pretty girls.  Ugh!  I hate it.  I’m hoping I’ll win her over and we’ll be best friends soon.  She really was a cutie and this is a tight group.  I also have that annoying habit of needing everyone to like me.  One of the girls did tell me that they were talking about me (love it) and how I remind them of BETHENNY FRANKEL from Real Housewives of New York (love Love LOVE that…Bethenny is so fabulous!)

After we lunched and worked, Dr decided I needed 10 more units of botox to completely get me to Nicole Kidman level (my preference) and while he was at it he gave me a glycolic chemical peel – my first.  He spent some time discussing the different procedures with me.  He explained that you probably need to hear each one a few times to really understand and be able to discuss with others and get their butts in the spa.  That chemical peel was no where near strong enough…are you thinking about Samantha’s face in Sex And The City?  I was too….totally fake.  I wasn’t even red when I was done!  Did you know that a chemical peel will remove only about 2-3 of the layers of the epidermis?  This really isn’t a true ‘peel’, more of an exfoliation.  I think it’s a good start and was glad I got to enjoy it.  The next step is a MicroLaser Peel (you can watch videos on you tube!) and then the one I really want is the ProFractional Rejuvenation Treatment.  I first heard of this on the Today Show when Kathie Lee got fraxel.  It’s not that I need it but I want to get these treatments before I need it!!  Business daddies like pretty arm candy and the younger you look, the better.
